I have recently been to some coastal forests in the Sadaani NP area, Nr Bagamoyo and in Mlola on Mafia IS (1 night only). I got some owl recordings in both. Some sound scops owl like and I would like to get hold of a Sokoke scops owl recording. Interestingly there was no African Wood Owl heard on Mafia.

I attach three recordings . AWP00010 sounds barn owl like. AWP00021 , sounds scops owl like. AWP00197 from Mafia Island could be barred owlet.

I plan to go back to Kisampa when it is a bit drier - alot of black cotton soil there.
Be great to get some IDs on this.
