Common Black-headed Gull (Larus ridibundus)
Note; Adult in winter plumage; be careful to study it in order to separate it from e.g. slenderbill gull (Larus genei) - which is not yet on the Tz list but have been recorded from e.g. Kenya. Above dove grey upperparts in strong contrast to pure white head (some “smear” of hood still visible) and tail; and outer threes-four primaries being white with black trailing edge. Bill being a bit more reddish than in plumage of 1Cy of this month; dark spot behind ear and eye as in 1Cy. October plumage. Copyright © Louis A. Hansen
