Marsh Tchagra (Tchagra minuta)

Sex; Female. Age; Immature. Subspecies; Seems to be reichenowi. Udzungwa Mts, June 2007. Copyright@; Louis A. Hansen. Female due to the broad creamy/off-white supercilium stripe, see other photos uploaded here. One of the diagnostics for this taxon is the creamy-brown tip to the tail feathers - again a character which some field guides fail to illustrate. Some authors include this subspecies in a separate species - lumping a few subspecies together in Anchieta's Tchagra (T. anchietae).
