Waller's Starling (Onychognathus walleri)
Sex; not relevant here. Age; possible all adult, not important here. Subspecies; walleri (though not possible to tell on this photo). Udzungwa Mts., July 2007. Copyright@; Louis A. Hansen. Typical flock of starling, if there were Kendrick’s starling among then they would seem slightly shorter tailed and male in this species have no rufous-chestnut in the flight feathers. The upper two birds could look like Kendrick's starling but they are not short tailed, and playing with the photo in an editing program shows rufous-chestnut wing patch.
