Black-headed Apalis (Apalis melanocephala)

Adult, possible a female (they are more dull coloured than the males). Subspecies; need to study more on this as the bird seems to be a mixture of two-three subspecies (or are the descriptions just too poor?). Udzungwa Mts, August 2007. Copyright@; Louis A. Hansen. In habitat, most of the high strata birds are hard to take photos of, therefore often poor photo. This was resting in a tree where it was possible to get relatively close to the birds.
