Olive Thrush (Turdus olivaceus)

An adult bird. Subspecies: cannot be assigned with 100 % confidence with any published subspecies – most close to roehli and abyssinica. Here the bill colour is fully developed as well as the eye ring. And the breast on the adult has turned towards a "medium brown" colour - very different from the young bird’s orange like colour. Do also note the dark lore which continues as a U-shape half way around the eye. Udzungwa Mts, 1991-92. Copyright ©; Louis A. Hansen.
