by Louis A. Hansen last modified 2008-01-23 23:57

African Goshawk (Accipiter tachiro). You will hear a sound like "quid - quid" or "(h)wiid - (h)wiid". This is a common display call which is heard e.g. just before sunrise. Sometimes this call is heard when it still rest on its favourite "night resting tree". However, most often it starts to call as it start souring on rather slow wing beats. Recording from the Udzungwa Mts. 1991-92. Copyrights @: Louis A. Hansen and the late Jens Otto Svendsen. This is a TEST - I want to hear from you if this is too big a file for you the user.
