Nearly 20 years old Yellow-streaked Greenbul

Hi all

On Dec 18 2006 Elias Mungaya and others from WCST caught a Yellow-streaked Greeenbul Phyllastrephus flaviostriatus on the Rondo Plateau with ring A59012.

This bird was ringed by Kaj Halberg (Danish expedition to coastal forests) on 27 November 1988 as a Full Grown = prob adult. It would have been at least 7 or 8 months old and more likely at least 18 months old.

Nearly 20 years old.

While birds of this genus are known to reach this age there are very few actual records.
